Field Descriptions


Field Description
PassengerTattoo String (35 characters maximum).
Unique reference number assigned to a passenger name element at the time of its creation. The number remains associated to the element throughout the life of the PNR. If the element is cancelled its tattoo is not reused by another element in this PNR. Tattoos never change (unlike PNR element numbers that can change when elements are added and deleted).
ElementNum String (3 characters maximum).
Element number associated with the current position of the element in the PNR. Element numbers change if elements are added or deleted in the PNR.
GroupOrLastName String (70 characters maximum).
Group name or last name (surname) element.
GroupIndicator String (3 characters maximum).
Group element indicator.
NumOfPassengers String (15 characters maximum).
Number of passengers.
FirstName String (70 characters maximum).
First name.
PassengerType String (3 characters maximum).
Passenger type code.

Infant indicator code. Used to indicate a traveler that is accompanied by an infant with no seat
InfantName String (70 characters maximum).
First name of the infant.
PassengerID String (70 characters maximum).

Common Usage Common usage is specified in some descriptions to indicate the length of a field as it is used within the travel industry. For example, the maximum length specified for FROMCITY is 10, however the Common Usage Length is 3 (e.g MIA for MIAMI)
